Stall Guard Web Stall Guard Question?

Web stall guard question? - stall guard

I really want to break these old wooden doors, that the uncertainty / Cable buy at the farm and add Web Canvas guards in place. I want people's opinions, like the guards, their use and a stable door, regular or yourself? Do you think that they are safe? Have you had problems with them? There is a guy that you would recommend? Everything helps! =]

I have the guards as before, but not in lieu of doors. Only when I was in the barn and could keep an eye on the horses to be said that looks like a fan in circulation on a hot day.

Unless this provision is sufficiently high, and is fairly presented, a horse with one foot in them. The resulting damage can be bad.

Make your existing doors, pushing through the door or aisles shall be articulated?

Be webbed post guards are the least expensive, but faster to implement what I saw, pleased at the doors of the wire position. Something like the doors of the post before Royal Wire - if you have to hang about 12-14 cm above the ground - too high to catch and pass under the feet too small for a horse under it. You can use these with a yoke of the horse's head on the door or easy sounding, so that they can not bury its head. These allow air circulation in the stable and a more open environment is still safe for the horse. They run $ 100 each.

I do not recommend reemCing their doorposts with the position as permanent.

I like to post the guards, but do not think it can replace a door on the block. Stall guards are a good preparation, coming when the horse in its place and must have completed, and often go. Or if it is a very hot day and want some ventilation. However, I do not want to leave, above a horse with a guard. In addition, some horses are a bit cooler will have their doors locked at all times. I think we should in any case, unless you have real doors are installed, too.

Oh, another thing. If you wire cabin doors ensure that the horse can not get the front door is hinged - I've seen it already.

Do I use instead of the real doors and are about 5 years to write because of other priorities, with the $ I need the actual doors.

I do not think that they are safe.

But ... I never had problems with them whatsoever.

I recommend the cotton on the nylon, because if a horse does not fall into a trap nylon rope burns unpleasant. In addition, the solids with the patch in the middle could be safer than those that are only belts (I) 2 of each type.

I agree with Buffy, do not replace the doors of his office with the guards who are too dangerous, too.

I have used with great success, while someone in the vicinity, which really saved my sanity horses, when I at a rest stop for the duplication of the suspension, where me or my coach a couple of friends to trust, what to open the door and to be cut.

But a horse can have a foot hung up in a good one, the hooks are easily broken by a mouthy horse, and horses, which was to roll or near a wall, the body or head buried d will tend them.

You do not want to come to the yard in the morning to find his horse was trapped leg, battled all night and he broke it, or are missing because you removed the brackets.

If the standby guard when in the barn.

I have the guards at the doors. In this way the door could open and not to rely on, allow the horse to me. Good ventilation in hot weather.
Only horses when they were sick or in progress. not really much to do with my stable.
