Thin Client For Voip How Do I Set Up My Laptop As A Thin Client To My WinXP Tower?

How do I set up my laptop as a thin client to my WinXP tower? - thin client for voip

I want my desktop (server) the workload and storage requirements) of my notebook (workstation, take up my network at home. I can WinXP Pro on the desktop and laptop is anything but free, they prefer open source solutions.

Turn on Remote Desktop in the tower, and then connect your laptop to the client remote desktop client (Windows) or rdesktop (Linux) or spine (Mac).

You can connect a drive or folder on the server shares with a right click it and select "Sharing and Security menu .... then click on" If you know the risks ...." blah link. Okay.

Check the box to share the network drive, and give it a meaningful name. Also check the box that can be read / write. When you click OK, go with the laptop and look at my computer / My Network Places folder on the server is displayed. You can make a shortcut to the shared disk and put it on the desktop of the laptop.

Make sure you have a large bandwidth of the network. And you can run through the application sharing program or a remote desktop.
